Editor,

The St. Ignatius Federation of Teachers supports candidate Ryan Schock for the St. Ignatius School District No. 28 Board of Trustees. Mr. Schock’s platform suggests a conservative approach to fiscal management.

The District’s teachers support Mr. Schock’s plan to return to managing the best interests of students, programs, facilities, and personnel. His management stance is away from out-of-control spending on administrative extravagance, and back to learners, employees, and infrastructure.

Mr. Schock presents a fresh perspective. He is concerned about neglect of both the humanities curriculum and facility maintenance. He is a parent of a student in our school. His commitment to student-centered management has prompted the school’s teachers to support Mr. Schock as our preferred candidate for St. Ignatius School District Board of Trustees.

The St. Ignatius Federation of Teachers encourages everyone in the St. Ignatius voting district to mail in their ballots by April 18.
