RONAN — After opening a recall notice, I then printed out a 24-page list of 358 recalled frozen fruits and veggies from 42 brand names with sell-by dates between April 26, 2016 and April 26, 2018, (many of which are available in our area). These are foods that would have been purchased over the next two-years. This is not only a breach of our trust in our food supply but to everyone’s budget. I’m wondering what will happen to our food budgets and how I will continue to provide meals to seniors. It is difficult enough to come up with the money now.
All our meals are open to the public of any age and our building is wheelchair accessible. We open at 9 a.m. on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Noon meals cost $5 if you are under 60 years old and $4 if you are over 60 years old. All meals come with fruit, veggies, bread and dessert.
