Democrat Party leadership believes that people should trust government for all their needs. This requires total control of people, but people that want to improve their life display an entrepreneurial spirit. This spirit is mocked, hindered, or crushed by Democrats that require a mass group of victims to maintain birth-to-death control.
The left also believes that until people are denuded of their guns, control cannot be imposed on them. Thus they campaign extensively to galvanize support for more gun control, even as radical Islamic terrorism is increasing.
Gun control under whatever falsity is pandered by the left, such as passing the New York SAFE Act limiting gun owners to 7-round magazines that are not even manufactured, is a deliberate act by the left to disarm gun owners. This is an example of government tyranny our Constitution was written to prevent.
