Are you satisfied with your 2016 property tax assessment?
Two thousand years ago there was a tax revolt. Now we need a tax revolt in Lake County.
The assessed value of my house increased from $299,570 to $465,610 for 2016.
The Department of Revenue claims I remodeled the house; what I did was put in some new carpeting and new appliances. The work done was at a cost of just over $20,000.
Take a good look at your 2016 property assessment. If yours has increased, go to the Department of Revenue, #3 Ninth Ave. West, Suite 3, Polson, and request form AB-26 for a new appraisal.
Time is running out to protest.
