News from the Bread Basket

RONAN — To our friends from the Bread Basket in Ronan: Thank you. We have so blessed this year to have so many of you in our community remembering our neighbors in need throughout this year that we have been able to keep our shelves with enough food to meet the need. Someone is always thinking of things to do to help us and there are so many grateful families because of you watching out for them.

Guess it’s time for us to catch up with all the new technology available without using the money donated for food. We want to make sure that we can be available if someone is experiencing an emergency need so we are updating our systems so we can be reached. There is now voicemail on our telephone: 676- HELP (4357) which will be checked frequently when we are not open. We are open Tuesday and Friday from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. but do understand that emergencies can happen.

For those of you with access to a computer we are setting up a webpage: www.ronanbreadbasket.org It’s up and coming with valuable info available and access to us, if needed. For those of you interested in finding out more about us, check it out. We will keep adding more to it as we can.

Most people never have an opportunity to see how much our clients appreciate the helping hand and yet, everywhere in our community people remember those in need throughout the year. They use their creativity, time and energy to organize programs, use their financial resources, donate their time to become volunteers and find ways to help their neighbors. We are extremely fortunate to have several food pantries in our valley. It’s great because we work together to help each other out when we can.

Remember that during this summertime and fall our neighbors enjoy the veggies and fruit from the gardens and are appreciative of any meat donated. The Bread Basket will pay for the cutting and wrapping. Give us a call 406-676-4357.
