POLSON — Polson Pirates put on a show for hometown fans Friday night, scoring four touchdowns before visiting Hamilton Broncs scored their first TD on a kick return with less than 3 minutes left in the game.

In the first quarter Pirate quarterback Tanner Wilson connected with Hayden Smith for the opening score, then hit Matthew Rensvold with a 33-yard touchdown pass. After a quiet second quarter Wilson demonstrated his arm strength on a 52-yard TD pass to Cadis Chowning in the third before Wilson targeted Rensvold in the endzone during the fourth. Point after attempts all failed on two kicks, a pass attempt and a run.

Hamilton completed their point-after attempt and scored two points as Polson gave up a safety in the fourth.

The Pirates host Corvallis Friday, Sept. 9 for a non-conference match up.
