POLSON — A woman who helped cover up the murder of her husband’s cousin and then allegedly lived with her husband and children in the trailer for several months while the body was stuffed in a shower pleaded guilty in Judge James Manley’s Lake County District Courtroom Wednesday.
Kassandra Seese, 24, admitted that in February her husband, Steven Seese, caused the death of Richard Warner, 18. The court found her guilty of felony accountability, negligent homicide — amended from deliberate homicide — and set sentencing for Nov. 16.
The plea agreement recommends sentencing Kassandra Seese to 20 years in Montana State Prison with 15 suspended.
Court documents state that on about Feb. 17 Steven Seese struck the victim in the head with hammer for lying. The husband and wife allegedly put the body in the shower and covered it up with clothing and furniture, where it remained until late June when the badly decomposed body was discovered by two people attempting to move the trailer.
