Invasive species council to hold listening session
PABLO — The Montana Invasive Species Advisory Council has drafted a statewide plan to manage invasive species and is inviting all interested partners to join in a discussion on Thursday, Oct. 6 from 1-4 p.m. in the Camas Room of the Joe McDonald Health Center at Salish Kootenai College. All are welcome.
The Council is holding several listening sessions across Montana to include partners in the process of prioritizing and carrying out the recommendations in the Statewide Framework. This meeting will identify regional and local opportunities for future collaboration, support partnerships already managing invasive species, and connect local residents and leaders with the ongoing statewide effort to improve invasive species management.
The results of a statewide assessment conducted in 2015 and the report from the Invasive Species Summit held in April 2016 are located at http://dnrc. mt.gov/divisions/cardd/ MISAC/the-governors-summit- on-invasive-species, under the “program assessment” and “report” text links.
