Editor,

The third annual Fields of Faith was held on a cool fall evening on Oct. 12 at the Polson High School Auditorium —typically held at the football stadium, but it was too cold.

It was an evening of champions. We were blessed to have Sage Vance, a Polson High School junior, and four Division 1 athletes speak. Sage shared the Josiah Story (2 Chronicles 34). The former and present college athletes who spoke were Tim Rausch, baseball player at Western Oregon; Kevin Owen, wrestler at the University of North Carolina; Savannah Witt, soccer player for the University of Montana; and Gabby Martinez, currently a junior softball player at the University of Montana.

A worship band from New Life Church rocked the evening, led by Debbie Miller. The event was attended by 200-plus students and adults.

The Fields of Faith event planners would like to thank the Fellowship of Christian Athletes Huddles, the administration of Polson Schools, local churches, businesses, and business community members for supporting the event. Your financial assistance provided every attendee a free t-shirt and devotional book. All the advertisements and gift coupons were also provided by valley-wide businesses.

We are so appreciative of the local support. These businesses and local organizations help make a difference in our young community.

Hope to see you next year.
