Editor,

I am supporting Johanna Clark, the Republican candidate for HD 93.

Johanna perfectly fits this statement by Winston Churchill: “Courage is what it takes to stand up and speak; courage is also what it takes to sit down and listen.” For the 14 years that I have been a resident here in St. Ignatius, I did not see this confidence in the previous HD 93 elected officials.

The first time I met Johanna, I witnessed her deep passion for Montana, her family and neighbors as she embarked on this candidacy. She is a wife, a mother and rancher that is taking the lead to bring Montana common sense to Helena.

Johanna is passionate on reducing taxes on hard-working families and small business; eliminating outdated government regulations stifling businesses;protecting agriculture, making sure it thrives; and defending and protecting our property rights. She will listen to both sides of issues and work to unite Montanans.

Johanna is one of us — not another politician.

Her Democratic opponent is making another bid as our Representative, though we have said no to him before. In considering how to vote, study the Democratic Party’s platform regarding family values, the unborn, the elderly, controlling our insurance, what is taught in our schools, and especially how our tax money is given away.

Now, I urge you to vote for Republican Johanna Clark. She is about God, family, community and the values that have made America the great country that is.

Vote Tuesday, Nov. 8. Don’t let this right slip away.
