POLSON — Kristen Juras, a non-partisan candidate for the Montana Supreme Court, will be the featured speaker at a special meeting of the Lake County Pachyderm Club on Friday, Nov. 4.
Kristen was born and raised in Conrad, graduated from the University of Montana and the University of Georgia School of Law. She has practiced law in Great Falls for 30 years representing individuals, small business owners, and agricultural producers. She has broad experience in contract and property issues, water rights, family law, tax planning, estate planning probates, and wills. She has taught law at the University of Montana the past 15 years in addition to her private practice.
Her presentation will give voters an opportunity to hear what she believes the role of the Supreme Court should be and to hear her reasons for wanting to serve on the Montana Supreme Court.
While the meeting date has been moved up a week, the Pachyderms will meet as usual at the Polson Rural Fire Department on Regatta Road. The meeting begins at noon and adjourns at 1 p.m. This will be the only meeting in November. All interested in knowing more about the Montana Supreme Court are encouraged to attend.
