The Bulldog teams fought the law, and the law won, as the Deer Lodge Wardens put away the Mission boys 61-58 and the girls 37-20.
At Deer Lodge, Stuart Grant had a game-high 25 points in the loss. The two teams were neck-and-neck throughout the game, but Mission was edged in the final quarter, 16-19.
The Lady Bulldogs went on a 11-2 run in the final minutes of the game. Loren Erickson scored seven points for Mission and Deer Lodge’s Bailee Senecal had a game-high 11 points.
On Jan. 17, the Lady Bulldogs lost to the Scarlets 39-35 in Arlee. Stephanie Lewandowski paced the team with 11 points, while Arlee’s Whitney Malatare and Alexis Shick scored 10 apiece.
The Lady Bulldogs (1-4, 2-9) travel to Bigfork Jan. 24 and Florence Jan. 28, while the Bulldogs (1-4, 3-8) play at home this week.
