Eileen James Reed
POLSON — Eileen James Reed, 91, died Oct. 28, 2016, in Polson, Montana, with family and friends surrounding her during her final days.
A celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m. Nov. 12, at Polson Community Church, 1814 First Street E in Polson.
Eileen was born on Aug. 3, 1925, to George and Alta (Watson) James in Malden, Washington. Eileen was the youngest of three children, (brother, Mitchel and sister, Virginia), and grew up in Polson, gaining many lifelong friends.
In 1944 she married Claude Braswell and bore three sons Duane, Ronald, and Chester. From 1956- 1983 Eileen lived in Pasco, Washington, working as a grocery clerk. Claude passed away in 1973 and her son Duane passed away in 1988. In 1975 she married Clarence Reed. Eileen moved back home to Polson in 1994 to be with her brother and to get reacquainted with her childhood friends.
Eileen’s sons Ronald Braswell of Needles, California, and Chester Braswell of Pasco, Washington, survive her. Her many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and church were her greatest joys. Please come to the celebration of life to meet her family, friends, and to share memories. Food and beverages will be served at the celebration.
