Feast with community in Polson

POLSON — Join the Polson community in a free made-from-scratch Thanksgiving dinner on Thursday, Nov. 24. Meals will be served from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. at the Polson Senior Center. Volunteers are encouraged to bring homemade pies, rolls and salads. This event is for the entire community to feast together. St. Ignatius to serve community on Thanksgiving

ST. IGNATIUS — St. Ignatius Community Thanksgiving Day Dinner will be served Nov. 24 from noon-2 p.m. at the St. Ignatius Middle School Commons. All are invited and the meal is free. The menu will be: turkey, ham, mashed potatoes with gravy, stuffing, cranberry sauce, rolls, desserts and beverages. Come enjoy a home cooked meal with your friends, neighbors and community. Ronan serves up Community Thanksgiving Dinner

RONAN — The Community Thanksgiving Dinner at the Ronan Community Center is on Thursday, Nov. 24, from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Come enjoy community spirit, music and a traditional Thanksgiving dinner with all the trimmings. As always, we are looking for donations of food and help. Please contact Brandy Chisholm at 406-250-8808 if you can supply either of these. Last year they served over 250 people.

DAYTON — Thanksgiving will take place at the Winery on Friday and Saturday, Nov. 25 and 26, from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Come try our little smokies in spicy Port sauce, Chana Batata Curry with Riesling, mini cream puffs drizzled with Cocoa Vin and Almond biscotti with Nouveaux Riche Muscat and 72% dark chocolate with our Gold medal winning Reserve Merlot and our Gold medal winning Cabernet. Mission Mountain Winery is located on Highway 93 in Dayton on the west shore of beautiful Flathead Lake.

Parade with lights for Christmas

POLSON — The 2016 Parade of Lights for Lake County will take place at 6:30 p.m. in downtown Polson on Friday, Dec. 2 at 6:30 p.m. Trophies, prizes, Christmas tree lighting and the arrival of Santa are all on tap. “If it moves and has lights it’s an entry.” Categories for parade prizes are: agriculture, best Christmas message, commercial individual or family, judge’s vhoice, most humorous, non-profit and youth. Call 406-883-5800 for more information. Refreshments, special promotions, entertainment and an Art Walk are all included. Enjoy downtown Polson’s Open House from 4-7 p.m.

Mission Chamber holds children’s Christmas carnival

ST. IGNATIUS — On Saturday, Dec. 3, a children’s Christmas Carnival will be held at the Community Center from 2-4 p.m. Santa will be there and there will be lots of games and prizes for kids of all ages. At 5:30 p.m. there will be a tree lighting ceremony at Gariepy Park with chili, cookies and hot beverages along with caroling and a Parade of Lights. All businesses, churches, and organizations are encouraged to have a float in the Parade of Lights. There is no entry fee and it is a great time to display your creativity. Later there will be details for the home decoration contest with prizes for three winners. Watch for details in the coming weeks in the paper and on posters. Thanks for supporting the activities of the St. Ignatius Chamber of Commerce.

Join holiday concert, sing-along in Big Arm

BIG ARM — Please join us at the Big Arm Historic School on Friday, Dec. 9, at 6 p.m. for “Sounds of the Seasons.” The BAA and Westshore Community Church are co-sponsoring a holiday concert/sing-along with Charles Lutz and friends. Charles is music teacher at Mission Valley Christian Academy in Polson. The concert will feature songs from his Christmas CD - “Stargazing” and familiar carols. Dessert will be provided.
