Editor,
My name is Wallace Wing and my ancestral history is bound up with the Flathead Valley and families in the surrounding area.
To explain, my mother was Elizabeth Mae Wing nee Campbell. Her father was Donald Lewis Campbell aka “Duncan” and “doc.” His father, my great grandfather, was John Morlana Campbell aka “Merlin” and “V.” Some families related to one degree or another include Roulliers, Bourassa, Burland, Ethier, Finley and Peone.
I’m trying to find details of the birth of my mother Elizabeth, and the life of her mother, my grandmother, Magdalen Kla Klat Ko, who lived long enough after a gunshot wound, to baptize my mother at age 3 in the town of Ashcroft, B.C., Canada on Aug. 12, 1894.
My mother’s date of birth was in September 1890 and may have been in Walla Walla, Washington, if not in the Flathead Valley.
My three sisters, all over age 80, and I would be grateful to receive any information one might have to this end. If one needs proof of my identity, one need only ask. But, one might want to hurry, as I am 83.
Please email: wallace_ wing@hotmail.com or call 867-335-7029 (cell) or 867-668-2111 (home). My address is 43-71 Aksala Dr. Whitehorse, Yukon Territory Y1A 0M5. Thank you.
