Justice of the Peace Randal L. Owens dealt with the following cases Dec. 2-9:

Charles Justin Powell, 50, pleaded not guilty to the amended charge of driving under the influence of alcohol, third offense. He was fined $4,915, with $2,415 suspended, charged $85 in court costs and sentenced to 365 days in jail with 335 days suspended.

The following individuals were found guilty of seatbelt violation and fined $20: Joshua Dean Bailey, 20; Jason Robert Damon, 39; Adam Ray Schwarz, 34; Erika Ann Jennison, 29; Wayne Alan Rogers, 30.

Patrick S. Smout, 48, pleaded guilty to hunt/trap/attempt to trap/trap or possess game animal without license as established by law. He was fined $500, with $300 suspended, charged $35 in court costs, and hunting and fishing licenses suspended for 24 months.

Smout also pleaded guilty to license, permit or tag offenses, alteration, attachment, loan, transfer license. He was fined $500, with $250 suspended, $35 in court costs and hunting license suspended for 24 months.

Tamara Kim Fragua, 54, forfeited a $100 fine and was charged $35 in court costs for motor carrier in non-compliance with 49 CFR part 396, first offense.

Scott Tyler Wilson, 26, pleaded guilty to failing to give notice of accident by quickest means/apparent damage over $1,000, first offense. Wilson was fined $250 and charged $35 in court costs.

The following individuals were found guilty of speeding: Kelsey Nicole Hanson, 24, fined $70; Rachel Jean Jacobson, 21, fined $85; Adam Ray Schwarz, 34, fined $55; Dominic Clay King, 37, fined $135; Ryan D. Harrop, 16, fined $55.
