Betty Jane Sivelle

POLSON — Betty Jane Anderson Sivelle passed away from complications related to dementia, at home on Dec. 9, 2016, at 2:42, p.m. surrounded by her loved ones.

Betty was born in Ventura, California, on Jan. 24, 1925, to William Brown Anderson and Leota Gladdis Phillips Anderson. Betty graduated from Manual Arts High School in Los Angeles, California, Class of 1943. She went to work to help the World War II effort at California Flyers, Inc., a subcontractor to Douglas Aircraft, building wing spars for C47 bombers, and the Federal Aviation Administration at Los Angeles International Airport.

Betty married Jim Sivelle at the First Congregational Church in Los Angeles on Sept. 13, 1947. They have two children, Brett Mervin Sivelle and Deborah Gale Sivelle Chapman.

Betty enjoyed boating and was a competitive water skier. She loved fishing in the mountains and the ocean, foreign travel, and family genealogy. She loved working in her garden and enjoyed her fabulous mountain and lake views, as well as the wildlife that frequently visited their yard.

Betty is preceded in death by her father, William Brown Anderson, her mother, Leota Gladdis Phillips Anderson, and her sister, Evon Duane Anderson Lovett Abacherli.

Betty’s husband William “Jim” Sivelle; her son, Brett Mervin Sivelle and daughter in law Carolyn; her daughter, Deborah Gale Sivelle Chapman and her husband Jim; her nephews, Dennis Lovett and wife Linda, Larry Lovett and wife Robin; her grandchildren, Christian Sivelle, Heidi Sivelle Williams and husband Kris, James Chapman and wife Christine; and six great-grandchildren, Carlos and Emma Sivelle, Sydney and Eli Williams, Liam and Luke Chapman, survive her.

A Celebration of Life has been held.
