Justice of the Peace Randal L. Owens dealt with the following cases Jan. 6-12:
The following individuals were found guilty of speeding: Lawrence Joseph Ginnings, 49, fined $20; Julianne Burk Hinchey, 46, fined $20.
Tony Ray Muzquiz, 49, was found guilty of seatbelt violation and fined $20.
Cyrus F. Mock, 52, pleaded not guilty to the amended charge of reckless driving, first offense. He was found guilty and fined $300 with $100 suspended, charged $35 in court costs and sentenced to 90 days in jail with 90 days suspended.
Paul Lee Ross Sr., 46, pleaded not guilty to criminal trespass to property. He was found guilty and fined $500 with $400 suspended and charged $85 in court costs and sentenced to 180 days in jail with 170 days suspended.
Travis Eric Swenson, 28, pleaded not guilty to the amended offense of reckless driving, first offense. He was found guilty and fined $200 with $200 suspended and charged $35 in court costs and sentenced to 90 days in jail with 90 days suspended. Swenson also pleaded not guilty to the amended charged of fleeing from or eluding a peace officer. He was found guilty and fined $2170 with $635 suspended and sentenced to 90 days in jail with 90 days suspended.
Sharon Rene Smith, 60, pleaded not guilty to the amended charge of reckless driving, first offense. She was found guilty and fined $300 with $200 suspended, charged $35 in court costs and sentenced to 90 days in jail with 90 days suspended.
Raenon Jean Smith, 53, pleaded not guilty to driving under the influence of alcohol, 2nd offense. She was found guilty and fined $2085 with $885 suspended and charged $85 in court costs and sentenced to 365 days in jail with 358 days suspended.
Brice John Fry, 24, pleaded not guilty to driving under the influence of alcohol, first offense. She was fined $1000 with $400 suspended and charged $85 in court costs and sentenced to 180 days in jail with 1 day suspended.
Joshua Thomas Clarkin, 31, forfeited a $30 bond and $35 in court costs for speeding, exceeding restricted/ special zone speed limit. He was fined $30 and charged $35 in court costs. Clarkin was also found guilty of seatbelt violation and was fined $20.
Marlene A. Jackson, 59, forfeited a $20 fine for seatbelt violation. Jackson also forfeited a $250 bond and $35 in court costs for operating without liability insurance in effect, first offense.
Tammy June Sandberg, 50, pleaded guilty to following too closely, reasonable and prudent. She was fined $50 and charged $35 in court costs.
Philip Alvah Higgins, 61, pleaded guilty to driving a motor vehicle while privilege to do so is suspended or revoked. He was fined $550 with 4300 suspended, charged $35 in court costs and sentenced to 2 days in jail.
Dominique D. L. Garcia, 22, pleaded guilty to driving without a valid drivers license. He was fined $550 with $300 suspended and charged $35 in court costs and sentenced to 2 days in jail with 2 days suspended. Garcia was also fined $20 for seatbelt violation. Garcia also pleaded guilty to operating without liability insurance in effect, first offense. He was fined $550 with $300 suspended and charged $35 in court costs.
Donald James Schaefer Jr., 26, forfeited a $20 fine.
Robert David Wallace, 30, pleaded guilty to operating without liability insurance in effect, first offense. He was fined $550 with $300 suspended, charged $35 in court costs.
Tyler Nathaniel Crockett, 31, forfeited a $50 bond and $35 in court costs for operating with expired registration-failure to reregister.
Mark Evan Mock, 46, pleaded guilty to failing to carry proof or exhibit insurance in vehicle, owner or operator, first offense. He was fined $500 with $350 suspended and charged $35 in court costs.
Robert Alan Rickets, 62, forfeited a $50 fine and $35 in court costs for operating with expired registration, failure to reregister.
Christopher Eric Porter, 36, pleaded guilty to owner permitting operation of vehicle without liability insurance, first offense. He was fined $550 with $300 suspended and charged $35 in court costs.
Pelham Monte Turner, 62, forfeited a $100 fine and was charged $35 in court costs for unlawful hunting from public highway, any game animal or game bird. Turner also forfeited a $100 fine and $35 in court costs for failing to obtain landowner permission for hunting, first offense.
