The Scarlets posed a triple threat to local teams last week, notching victories over Mission, Two Eagle River and Charlo.

Arlee’s Alyssia Vanderburg scored 32 points and grabbed 11 rebounds to lead the visiting Scarlets to a 67-32 nonconference win over the Mission Bulldogs on Jan. 10.

Bryar McCrea for the Lady Bulldogs led the team with seven points.

On Friday, the Scarlets routed visiting Two Eagle River 73-10. Arlee did most of its damage in the first quarter, outscoring the Lady Eagles 42-2 to start the game.

Vanderburg scored a game-high 18 points and Noelle West added 15 for the Scarlets.

Esperanza Orozco led all Lady Eagle scorers with four points.

The District 14-C leading Scarlets wrapped up the weekend on the road with a 36-24 cross-valley and District 14-C rivalry win over the Charlo Lady Vikings.

“Charlo is such a big rivalry game,” Arlee Scarlets head coach Bill Stockton said. “To come into here and get a win, you always feel like you kind of stole one. They are athletic, super scrappy and well coached.”

Carly Hergett finished with a game-high 14 points and shot 8 of 9 from the charity stripe for the Scarlets.

Cheyenne Nagy scored a team-high nine points for the Lady Vikings.

The Scarlets are home Friday with Hot Springs and host Valley Christian on Saturday.
