Editor,

The North Crow Creek Women’s Club took on a big new project this holiday season, putting 500 professional-grade Christmas lights on the big spruce pine outside of the clubhouse. Anyone driving past the corner of North Crow Road and North Foothills Drive was treated to the view of the beautifully-lighted tree.

The members, along with the help of their husbands, electrician Ryan Plenninger, Jennison’s Tree Service and Access Montana all volunteered their time and energy to the project. The crew was able to get the lights up and on by Dec. 12, the night of the North Crow Club’s annual Christmas program. Because Phyllis Hocker inspired the project at one of the monthly meetings, and because she organizes the care of renting the building for the community events, the tree was named in her honor, “Phyllis’ Tree.”

The North Crow Women’s Club would like to give a heartfelt thank you to all who gave generous donations to make this $1,000 project possible and we hope you all can enjoy this tree for many years to come.
