Inez Brown

KALISPELL — Inez Brown passed away Feb. 10, 2017, at Kalispell Regional Medical Center. Inez was born Jan. 18, 1925, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, to John and Dora Mae Penson. Later her family moved to Williston, North Dakota. It was there that she met the love of her life, David H. Brown. They were married on June 16, 1942. In 1950 they moved to Kalispell where they lived until David passed away in 2003. She then moved to Polson where she was living until her death.

Inez worked many years for Pacific Power and Light. She had many friends and liked to socialize and dance. She loved reading and listening to music. She was a wonderful mother, creating many happy memories with her children going to school functions, Summer’s Beach and Sundown Drive-in movies.

Inez’s three children, Gary Brown from Marysville, Washington, Melodee Scott and her husband Dick from Polson, and Mark Brown and his wife Anna from Kalispell survive her.

Her grandchildren, Karen Sutula of Spokane, Washington, David Macaluso of Issaquah, Washington, Dana Meldrum of Helena, Jeffrey Brown of Butte, Jason Brown of Pocatello, Idaho, Rory Brown of Kalispell and Taira Baker of Marysville, Washington, also survive her, as do her 14 great-grandchildren.

Shelley Brown (Gary) and Mike Brown preceded her in death.

To accommodate family travel, services are planned for a later date.
