Melissa Martinez Nault

ARLEE — Melissa Lee Martinez Nault, went to see the Lord on Friday, Feb. 24, 2017. She was born in Butte, to Marty Martinez on Nov. 8, 1974.

Melissa grew up in the Missoula and Arlee areas. Melissa graduated from Arlee High School and continued her education at the University of Washington.

In 1994 Melissa had a daughter, Desirae Rose Martinez. In 1996 she married Robin Nault and they later divorced. While in Washington, she worked as a tax preparer and was studying to get her CPA license. In 2011, she and her daughter moved back to Montana where she went to work for Ashley – Martin in Arlee. There she met Tracy Schlemmer. In 2012, she became the proud grandmother of Quinten. Her whole world revolved around Tracy, Desirae and Quinten.

Always a hard worker and passionate about her family, she enjoyed her family getting together for holidays and the summer. Her hobbies were gardening, fishing, going for drives up the Jocko and spoiling her grandson.

Melissa leaves behind her family and friends who will miss her dearly.

Melissa’s husband in heart Tracy Schlemmer of Arlee; her daughter Desirae Martinez–Nault and her grandson Quinten Sansavere of Missoula; her mother Marty Martinez; her sister Becky Lozeau and her brother Yancy Martinez, all from the Polson area, survive her. Also surviving her is her “second mother “ Ruby Vanderburg of Arlee, as well as numerous nieces and nephews who will miss her smile and sense of humor. Melissa was one of those special people who would, if it was in her power, go out of her way to help.

At her request there will be no services or viewing at this time. Her final wish was to be cremated. There will be a memorial dinner announced at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to your favorite charity in memory of Melissa. She would like to think donations helping depression might help save a life.
