News from Lake County Job Service

The Lake County Job Service Employer Committee (JSEC) recognized this year’s “Employers of Choice” at the 2017 JSEC Spring Workshop. This award recognizes a small, medium, and large-scale business that demonstrates a high level of commitment to their employees and the surrounding community.

Richwine’s Burgerville was chosen as this year’s small-scale Employer of Choice. In business for 55 years, this wonderful restaurant is a landmark here in Polson. Richwine’s Burgerville received this award for its dedication to teaching and caring for their employees. General Manager Marcia Moen states their “hope is that in five or ten years our employees will look back and say, ‘I learned that working at Burgerville!’”

Designs for Health was selected as this year’s mid-sized Employer of Choice. This impressive manufacturing facility in Arlee received this award for their dedication to investing in their employees and the improvements they have made in the past three years. By increasing employee engagement, increasing wages, and increasing benefits, Designs For Health has experienced a significant increase in employee retention. 

Mission Mountain Enterprises was presented with the large-scale Employer of Choice award. This amazing non-profit organization received this award for their dedication to training their employees and their contributions to our community, especially those individuals with intellectual disabilities. Naomi Mock, HR/PR Administrator states, “Although we employ a large number of staff, MME tries to foster a ‘small business mindset.’”
