Editor,
Ballots are in the mail as the Republicans who talk fiscal responsibility but act in their political interest wanted. Just like our national representatives who have used their bully pulpit to alter not just how congress itself functions but how the three governing bodies, set up by our forefathers to prevent corruption and the usurping of the powers granted to the people by the government, operate.
Keeping America great is a worthy goal but I fail to see how governing behind closed doors, substituting ‘alternate’ facts for easily verified reality and direct conspiracy among elected officials to preserve an image is either keeping or making America great.
Growing up I learned Russia was an enemy of our values and way of life. I have seen nothing that says they have changed their position but rather than pounding a shoe they have modernized their efforts. And it is working.
Blindness is not restricted to the eyes. While the heart and head hold our faith and beliefs, blindness prevents us from seeing the cliff ahead. Sheep, lemmings and many other species continue ahead following a type of leader never questioning why or the direction. That seems to be the American way for many.
Greg proclaims he is proud to support Trump. He says he will fight to not pay Congress if there is no budget. He says he will support term limits. Don Quixote acts or empty rhetoric? If he supports Trump as he claims why would he change and oppose Trump, who says we should shut the government down in September to get his objectives passed? But Trump also said on day 1 we will build a wall paid for by Mexico, end the war and defeat ISIS, dump the Obamacare that is such a mess and fix the VA.
My suggestion, don’t vote in the blind like you have been led to do for so long.
But vote, you’re paying for it.
