Judge James A. Manley sentenced the following people on May 31:
Kenneth William Oldperson, age and city of residence unavailable, was given five years in the Department of Corrections with no time suspended for criminal child endangerment. On June 8, 2016, Oldperson was arrested after a woman was almost hit by a car that Oldperson was driving on Felix Lane. An 18-month-old child was in his vehicle. According to a court document, Oldperson admitted that he had consumed a few beers.
Marlene Jackson, 60, of Dixon, was given five years in DOC with all time suspended for criminal possession of dangerous drugs. She was given credit for 14 days in jail. She was found with Percocet, Hydrocodone, methamphetamine and Lorazepam after a March 28, 2016, traffic stop, according to a court document, and said she had been using meth for 13 years.
