The Salish Shrine Club held its drawing for a Henry Golden Boy rifle at its May 24 meeting. The winner was Marcy Richards. Shrine Club President Frank Tyro said, “We owe a big thank you to all those who purchased tickets as well as Super 1 Foods and Harvest Foods for allowing us to use their lobbies for ticket sales.” He also thanked Ronan Sports and Western in Ronan for providing the rifle. For the Shriners, it’s all about helping kids. The main philanthropy of the local club is the Shrine Children’s Hospital in Spokane, Washington. Shriners operate 22 hospitals in the U.S., Canada and Mexico that specialize in orthopaedics, spinal cord injuries, burn care and cleft lip and palate. The hospitals provide this care at no cost to the patients.
