Becky DePoe
POLSON — Becky Lynn DePoe, 63, of Polson, passed away on Sunday, July 9, 2017. Becky was born on Nov. 23, 1953, in Baker, Oregon, to Glenn and Julia Gwilliam. As a young girl, Becky lived with her family in Baker, Payette and Boise, Idaho, and at the age of nine years old, the family moved to Vanderhoof, British Columbia, Canada.
On Feb. 22, 1975, she married Robert Reginald DePoe in Boise, Idaho. They lived in St. Anthony, Idaho; Vanderhoof, British Columbia, and Polson.
Becky was employed as a church custodian, a special education teacher assistant, and served 23 years as a dispatcher for the Lake County Sheriff’s Department.
Becky was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She spent many years serving as a Cub Scout leader, a young women leader, and a primary/ Sunday School teacher.
She enjoyed gardening, crocheting, crafts, swimming, and the beauties of nature.
A loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, Becky is preceded in death by her parents, Glenn Burt Gwilliam and Julia Marie Gwilliam; her husband, Robert Reginald DePoe Jr.; and two sons, Robert Reginald DePoe III, and Curtis Roy DePoe.
She is survived by two sons, Daniel Glenn DePoe (Mandie), Rodney Shawn DePoe (Tiffany); a daughter- in-law, Jamie Urie De- Poe; grandchildren, Nathan, Neah, Shawn, Ashlynn, Nicholas, Kalin, Ryder, and Canyon; four sisters and four brothers.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 15, 2017, at 10 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Polson. Burial will be in the Elmo Cemetery.
