Daryl Allen Kerr

POLSON — Our beloved son, brother, uncle, dad, friend, companion, mechanic extraordinaire, business man of many and always the life of the party, left this earthly world on July 1, 2017, to be re-united with his brother Daren, grandparents, aunt, friends, and his spoiled little Cooter dog, who were waiting for him with arms wide open. Daryl was born on Aug. 7, 1977.

Daryl, you took a part of our hearts when you left this place. As hard as it is to live without you, we don’t want it to be true, but it is and we must continue our lives with only your spirit and memories. You were truly an amazing person and one of a kind.

In the 39 years we were given with Daryl, he made every day count by living each day to the fullest. He lived a lifetime in those 39 beautiful years.

Daryl was born and raised in Charlo. After graduating in 1995 he worked for Montana Rail Link, Jore Corporation, and started numerous successful businesses. He also became a Certified Information Technology Specialist and obtained his real estate license.

He was the son, brother, and dad you would want to have. God blessed us with his love and affection. His undeniable love for his family was shown through his words, actions, and just “Daryl being Daryl.”

The proudest moment in Daryl’s life was when he became a dad. He was beyond excited to have a boy that would carry on the Kerr name. When Gage came into this world his heart grew bigger and he talked about a love he had never felt before.

He was a clean-cut, best dressed man, even though his hands revealed a hard work ethic as a result of his passion for cars. If you were lucky enough to go for a ride with him, it was sure to be filled with laughter, good music and a memory to be made.

His passions were putting others before himself, cars, a pair of jeans or boots that fit just right, giving you one liners that would put a smile on your face, and love for his family, especially Shalayne, whom he loved the moment she came into this world.

Daryl was adamant about wearing baseball caps at various types of functions, even though he knew others would prefer that he didn’t.

For those who knew him, he had a friendship that was pure, a heart of gold, a kind soul, and they couldn’t help but love him.

Daryl, your memories will be treasured for the rest of our lives. We will remember you as happy, loving, smiling, energetic, spontaneous, fun loving, and life loving. Thank you for giving us the pleasure.

Daryl is survived by his parents, Punk and Rick Kerr; sister, Shandice Kerr (Steve Ostler); son, Gage; niece, Shalayne; and family and friends.

We would love all of you to join us in Daryl’s Celebration of Life at The McCrumb Barn on Finley Point, on Aug. 5 at noon, to share a barbecue and the beautiful memories of life with Daryl. Memories and condolences may be sent to the family at: www.shrider-thompson.com.

Arrangements are under the direction of Shrider–Thompson Funeral Home.
