POLSON — Ronald F. “Ron” Marquardt, 74, passed away suddenly on Aug. 28, 2017. Ron was born in Detroit, Michigan, to Norbert and Esther (Ostrowski) Marquardt on Aug. 22, 1943.

He graduated from Osborn High School in 1961. Ron married Carole Jablinski on June, 13, 1963. Their marriage was blessed with three children: Paula, Holly, and Ronald, Jr.

In the early years of his marriage, he worked tirelessly to support his family. Later, Ron and Carole moved to Polson, where he started his own concrete business, Marquardt Company. In 1981, Ron and the family were in a tragic accident where Carole and Ronald Jr. were killed.

Ron married Sheila (Nelson) Marquardt on Oct. 2, 1982. Their marriage was blessed with six children: Elaina, Erika, Martina, Nicholas, Veronica, and John. Ron continued to pour cement, raise his family, and live a great and abundant life.

Ron is preceded in death by his parents, Norbert and Ester; his late wife, Carole; and son, Ronald.

He is survived by his wife, Sheila; his children, Paula (Eric) Lanes of Polson, Holly (Ed) Davis of Missoula, Elaina (Jake) Jennison of Polson, Erika (Jeff) Jennison of Charlo, and Martina, Nicholas, Veronica, and John who still live at home; his nieces and nephews, Jennifer, Daniel, Matthew and Chloie; his grandchildren, Alex, Jordan, Kelsey, Carolyne, Ronnie, Angelina, Kaylee, Brynlee, and Joey, and great-grandchildren, Jake, Aiden, Ethan and Zander.
