Judge James A. Manley sentenced the following people on Sept. 20:
Antoine Eugene Tenas, 29, of Big Arm, was sentenced to three years in the Department of Corrections with no time suspended for possession of dangerous drugs (methamphetamine). He was given credit for 57 days in jail. His sentence will run concurrently with one out of Missoula County. He was arrested on July 24 at a residence that he hadn’t reported to his probation officer. Tenas said he had 2 grams of meth, a court document states.
Jessie Lee Kolasinski was given a two-year deferred sentence for an amended charged of criminal endangerment. She was originally charged with her fourth DUI following a March 11 traffic stop in Polson when a breath test revealed a blood alcohol content of .147, according to a court document. She was ordered to pay $2,060 in fines and fees and will serve 15 days in jail unless she obtains a chemical dependency evaluation.
John Paul Harris, 61, of St. Ignatius, was sentenced to three years in DOC with all time suspended in accord with a plea agreement for an amended charge of criminal endangerment. He was originally charged with his fifth DUI. The sentence will run consecutively to one out of Missoula County for his fourth DUI. Harris was arrested following an April 2 traffic stop in Charlo. A blood test revealed he had a blood alcohol content of .249, a court document states. He was ordered to pay $2,060 in fines and fees.
William James Redwood, 38, of Finley Point, had a charge of assault with a weapon dismissed. He was charged following an April 2 incident in which he allegedly slashed the forehead of a man with a knife. Neither man could remember why they were arguing, a court document states.
Judge Deborah Christopher sentenced the following people on Sept. 21:
Raymond Shourds Jr., 22, of Elmo, was given a total of four years in DOC with one year suspended for an amended charge of possession of dangerous drugs and bail jumping. Two charges of possession with intent to distribute were dismissed as part of a plea agreement. Shourds was charged following an Aug. 13, 2016 traffic stop that resulted in an impounded vehicle. A man was spotted running away from an impound lot and law enforcement then found marijuana, drug paraphernalia and 11 baggies of black tar heroin along with Shourds’ cell phone which contained text messages of possible heroin sales, according to a court document.
Carlin David Norunner, 51, of Arlee, was given a sentence of four years and one month in DOC with three years suspended for his fifth DUI. Norunner was charged following a Feb. 18 traffic stop on U.S. Highway 93 when a vehicle in a ditch pulled out onto the highway when law enforcement arrived. He was assessed some $6,510 in fines and fees.
