POLSON — Michael Patrick Murray, 75, of Polson, passed away at St. Joseph Hospital on Sept. 19, 2017. Mike is survived by his wife, Loreli Murray; his son, Michael Dwayne Murray; grandchildren, Austin and Elizabeth Murray; a brother, Dan Murray; and his dog, Fluff; who will miss him terribly.
Mike’s second home was Melita Island. He volunteered with the Boy Scouts for many years. He loved the island and enjoyed summers there for the past ten years. He was a proud Eagle Scout, an honor which he earned in 1959.
Mike served in the U.S. Navy on the destroyer Rupertus during the Vietnam War. He loved and respected the U.S. Flag.
Next June, Mike will be taken back to Melita Island to celebrate his June 15 birthday and a celebration of his life. In lieu of flowers, please make a contribution or do a kind deed for a veteran.
