Charles O’Connor
POLSON — Charles F. “Chuck” O’Connor, 86, of Polson, passed away on Thursday, Oct. 12, 2017, at St. Joseph Hospital. Charles was born June 29, 1931, in Chicago, Illinois, to Edmond and Lavaughn O’Connor. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served in the Korean War. He is survived by a daughter, Laura of Missoula; a son, Scott; and daughterin- law; Heidi O’Connor of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida; and grandchildren, Ryan, Molly, Steve, Karen, Claire, Brendan, and James. Charles is preceded in death by his wife, Suzanne; son-in-law, Billy Pickett; and brothers, Edmond and John O’Connor.
Charles earned a Bachelor’s Degree in business at Colorado College in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Chuck and Suzanne were married in Santa Monica in 1952 and moved to Menlo Park, California, living there for 32 years, five years in Bend, Oregon, and then moved to Polson in 1995. Charles loved to golf and ski, enjoyed socializing with friends for morning coffee, sharing conversation in the afternoons at South Shore, and was known for his love of chocolate chip cookies.
