Editor,
I want to thank all the people that voted for me and for listening to me. I wish I could do more for our people. I hope that as we go forward that the remaining candidates realize that this is for the people, not their own personal gain. I ask them to put the membership first and themselves last. Hard decisions have to be made both financially and spiritually.
We have members who are struggling and feeling alone and hopeless, let’s finally do something constructive and action oriented. Make our members first and foremost in every decision that is made. I also think we have unnecessary positions that are highly paid that need to be terminated. They are redundant and costly.
Follow the policy and procedures that were set up to be fair and equal to all members. Ensure the members are considered no matter where you live or if you are Salish or Kootenai … to be united we have to think and act without boundaries. As you can see I have many ideas and changes that I would’ve liked to make … sorry for rambling on.
Thank you all again and remember that your voice does count and needs to be heard. Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise. May we all greet each other with respect and kindness.
Mary Antiste
Big Arm
