POLSON — Polson Schools were locked down for about two hours on Thursday afternoon due to a phone scam, according to the Polson Police Department. Polson Police Sgt. George Simpson said dispatch received a call at about 1 p.m. on Nov. 9 from a caller who said he wanted $5,000 or he would kill five hostages at a Polson residence, Simpson said in a press release. It further states: Polson Schools were locked down while law enforcement investigated and determined it to be unfounded. The Lake County Sheriff’s Office and the E-911 Center assisted in the case, which is still under investigation.
