God will finish what women have begun

Editor,

Any man having the dirty laundry of past inappropriate sexual indiscretions should be totally uncomfortable at what is taking place across the country as women are now coming forward to accuse those guys who thought they could get away with any kind of indecent, sinful, sexual behavior. God’s long arm of justice is reaching out through courageous women, exposing evil men of their sin.

What is sin? The Bible teaches that sin is any thought or action that disobeys God’s laws.

A line in the Bible which declares that every sin will be uncovered (Numbers 32:23) and judged, either during one’s lifetime or at God’s final judgement court. That line, since learning it, has been a strong inhibitor of my thoughts and actions. Am I perfect? No. No one is perfect before God. We are all sinners in need of a Savior (Romans 3:23 and 6:23). Sin is never acceptable, God forbids sinning, telling us not to do it.

What good might we expect to come from all the sad news that confronts us daily, revealing the dark side of human hearts? Not much if we are not totally ashamed, repenting of the condition into which we have allowed our society to crumble. All humanity stands guilty before God, for we have disregarded God’s laws. We have done our own thing, hoping that our sins would never be uncovered; how foolish we have been.

The cover on hidden sins is only slightly ajar. A day is coming when all sin will be fully exposed. For instance, God sees the action of the man at the office, or anywhere else, who secretly steals another man’s wife through flattery or flirtation? Or vice-versa, a woman steals another woman’s husband (Exodus 20:17); furthermore, contemplate all the hidden acts of infidelity and adultery (Exodus 20:14) that will one day be revealed and judged. I would not be a faithful follower of Jesus Christ if I failed to warn everyone everywhere of coming judgement. For sure, God will finish what the women have begun.
