Big donors are the people that matter to those in charge of Congress, not constituents like you or me.

When people with money are pulling the strings, it’s no longer a democracy. People are aware of this and less likely to vote. This serves the needs of big donors. It serves the needs of those in Congress happy to do the bidding of their masters.

There is only one counter to this corrosive process and that is for citizens to stay informed and vote. Part of staying informed is being aware of which big money powers are pulling the strings, and voting opposite their agenda. A few of the big money brokers are the pharmaceutical industry, the big oil companies, and the Koch brothers.

Power corrupts. It has corrupted our political process. Save democracy. Get informed and vote.
