Elks Lodge holds memorial for departed members
Elks who recently commemorated departed members include (front): Mike Speckert Esquire, Bob Byers, Chad Komlofske Exalted Ruler, Stephanie Hart Lecturing Knight and (back) Jeff Megahan Secretary, David Rensvold Chaplin, Dan Dewitt Leading Knight, Jeff Andrews Loyal Knight.

POLSON – On Sunday, Dec. 3, the Elks Lodge held a memorial service and a small reception for five departed members. Grand Lodge has decreed that the first Sunday in December be set aside for the purpose of commemorating our departed brothers and sisters. This year the service was performed by a Past Exalted Ruler, Robert Byers. PER Byers honored each departed member with something from each of their obituaries as individuals. The families of these members are contacted prior to this service and are invited to come and be a part of this event. An Elk is Never Forgotten, Never Forsaken.
