Editor,
I need to tell you all about a trip I took last Thursday. I came out from Mission Valley printing with some copies well done. The sun was shining and no ice. Guess I wanted some attention. All of a sudden my toe hit a big crack in the sidewalk. I took a flying fall and hit my head, wrist and knee.
I now sit here with a fractured knee cap and a broken nose. If I only had done this at Halloween, I could have had the ugliest face mask ever and sold millions. “Really scary.” Always too late.
I now think of all the kind people who helped me like the two Kims, owners of the print shop, and two men from I don’t know where. They brought towels to try to stop the blood. One offered to wash and clean the blood from the sidewalk after. They even called the ambulance, which showed up right away. A lady and man helped me to St. Luke Hospital. I then received great care; thank you.
Sometimes when we maybe think some of the world has gone to hell, someone comes and proves us wrong. Since my husband passed away there are some like Bab Burrell and Laurie Acevedo who are wonderful.
I have a kind, caring and loving family so I am doing great. No words can say what I feel. Thank you all.
