Michael Brownfield
POLSON — Funeral service for Michael Brownfield, 52, passed away on Monday, Dec. 11, 2017, at his home in Polson after courageously battling Leukemia for two years.
Michael Allen Brownfield was born Feb. 6, 1965, in Ft. Sill, Oklahoma, to Wesley and Audrey (Baucum) Brownfield. He grew up in Fletcher, Oklahoma, where he graduated from Fletcher High School in 1983. Michael served his country in the United States Army Reserves for six years. He worked for Elliot Mobile Homes until becoming employed by LORAM Maintenance of Way in May of 1990. Throughout the last 27 years, Michael worked his way up to become the Assistant Regional Manager of Operations and was able to travel all over the world for the company. He was very well respected by all his peers as a teacher and mentor for his abilities.
Michael married Michaelene Irwin on Oct. 8, 2011. He was not only a great husband and provider but her best friend. The two attended Polson Four Square Church for the last three and one-half years.
He enjoyed building Legos, taking pictures, woodworking, drawing, telling stories, and riding his Harley. Of all the things he liked to do, being with his family and his two dogs, Mya and Teton, were his favorites. Michael had the kind of personality where he never met a stranger. Everywhere he went, he made new friends.
Michael was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend and will be dearly missed by all those who had the privilege of knowing him.
He is survived by his wife, Michaelene Brownfield, of the home; one stepson, Jeff Christinsen (Nicole) of Ohio; one stepdaughter, Rachel Zander (Phil) of Alaska; two brothers, Jim Brownfield (Pat) of Fletcher and Bobby Brownfield of Apache; two sisters, Rosie Reynolds (Rick) of Ardmore and Linda McCue of Fletcher; one brother-in-law, Wiley Gene Mahan of Fletcher; one grandson, Elijah Christinsen; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wesley and Audrey Brownfield; one sister, Dianne Mahan; and one niece, Faith Brownfield. Services have been held.
