Editor,

It is with apprehension, happiness and sadness that I have chosen to retire from Mission Valley Power. Jan. 25 was my final day of work.

I want to take this time to thank you all for being great customers. And for those who don’t know my personally, I want to thank you for being great people. I sincerely hope that I had served you well in your endeavors to get power to your projects.

Mission Valley Power has many well trained, caring and professional people guiding and maintaining the utility. MVP always strives for upgrading service equipment and lines so as to better serve the public with dependable service. MVP will continue to do so.

I have worked at MVP since its inception in 1988 and a few years before when it was managed by the federal government. It’s now time to kick back with family – spend more time with the grandchildren, go fishing and enjoy the mountains.

I hope I have served you well all these many years while working within the engineering department.

As I have met many fine people in my position as power clerk for MVP, I am sure the next person who fills this chair will also be able to answer your questions and maybe solve the problems you face with your new services – the person will do a great job.

Thank you all.

Britton W. Salois
former MVP employee
