June Sorensen
POLSON — June Sagmiller Sorensen, 84, left this earth on Jan. 24, 2018, in Polson. She joins her parents, Mathilda and John Sagmiller; brothers Norm, Ken, Del, and Jerry; sons, Kevin and F. Herb Sorensen; and a niece, Sherry. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Herb; children, KC (Cindy) Sorensen and Jean (Ted) Basler; a sister, Lucille Buchmann; eight grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
June was born March 29, 1933, in Hazen, North Dakota. She moved with her family to Polson when she was 16. She married her high school sweetheart, Herb Sorensen. She then worked a few years as a legal secretary and then raised a family and an annual garden. June and Herb shared both their abundant hearts and produce with all who ventured in. June passed on her cooking, knitting, canning, and sewing skills to anyone who asked. She especially enjoyed being a Campfire Girls’ leader.
June didn’t want to be mourned. All who knew her are invited to laugh, eat, and linger over memories on June 30, 2018, at Boettcher Park - Pavilion #1 in Polson beginning at 11 a.m. A pot-luck lunch will be served.
