William Rubia
POLSON — William Franklin “Bill” Rubia, age 70, passed away at his home on Jan. 27, 2018, after fighting a heroic battle with acute leukemia. Bill was born on March 27, 1947.
Bill retired from the U.S. Navy after 22 years. He received many medals while serving. He was in Vietnam for the majority of war time. After retiring from the service he worked as a security guard, mechanic, and also worked for Boeing until he was laid off. He then moved to Polson, and went to school for carpentry at SKC. He then worked as a driver for the college.
Bill is survived by his loving wife, soul mate, and best friend, Nyla G. Buck-Rubia, at their home in Polson, and the apple of his eye, his grandson, Dylan Kelly of Polson, lots of loving family, special friends, and loving care givers throughout his illness. He loved them all.
