Editor,
Many of you might not be aware of the Garden of the Rockies Museum on Round Butte Rd. in Ronan. It has a selection of local historical items that help to tell the story of the people of the Mission Valley. All operations and maintenance at the museum comes from volunteers, who over the past 20 years have helped to create this gift to the community. One of those volunteers, Velma Kuntz, has been quietly donating her time for the last 17 years without any recognition. She will be retiring from her service and a reception in her honor will take place on Feb. 24 at the SAFE Harbor Building on Hwy. 93 between 2 and 3 p.m. Please stop by to thank this wonderful lady for all she has done and come check out the museum once the weather gets warmer.
