ST. IGNATIUS – Stanley Wayne Harris passed away at home, with his wife at his side, on Sunday, March 11, 2018. He was born in Yakima, Washington, on Oct. 25, 1934, to Kenneth and Isabelle Harris.
Stan enjoyed sports, especially baseball, at which he excelled during his high school days.
He raised his family near Selah where they raised cattle and horses. Stan liked riding and camping in the mountains.
He worked in the fruit industry for Rainier Fruit Company in the Yakima area for over twenty years. After retiring, he moved to Montana and enjoyed raising foals from his quarter horse mares, riding, gardening, crafting with wood and viewing the plentiful wildlife that frequented the pastures.
Stan is preceded in death by his son, Steven Harris.
He is survived by his wife, Leona; his sister, Sharon Chase Arbour; his children, Jeff Harris, Diane Caldwell ( Jeff ), Kathy Dodge (Tom), Duane Rapp (Michele), and Doug Rapp (Lisa); and his grandchildren, Kelson, Brooke, Cody, Kayla, Karly and Mitch.
