Anne Engebretson and the entire staff at Port Polson Inn would like to thank the communities of Polson, Ronan, and the Mission Valley for their continued support for our Coats for Kids program. This marks our 18th consecutive year and again we gave out over 150 coats. However, we could not have done this without the generous giving of donations from our community.
Every year it is a deep reminder of how fortunate we are to live in a community that is so giving. It seems like every time you turn around, there is a benefit, fundraiser, schools to support, or an event where someone is asking for donations, all of which matter.
This is a changing world. Times are tough. Where would we be without the act of “giving?” There are so many people in need. People are fighting serious medical issues and life-threatening diseases and as a result, they have difficulty paying their expenses.
It is our community that steps up to the plate. We all owe a big thank you to everyone who has donated in one way or another. We also want to thank our local businesses who support the events that take place throughout the year. You guys rock and we really do appreciate everyone. This is a good reason to support your local businesses. They give so much, so let’s give back to them by shopping locally.
Again, I just wanted to thank you all for supporting our Coats for Kids drive and also to thank all of you for giving. Remember, it is better to give than to receive. In one way, big or small, you made a difference in someone’s life.
