Editor,
During this past year, the Polson Lions Club has visited eight area schools to conduct vision screenings. These screenings were implemented with two state of the art computers which had been donated to our club. A typical student eye test takes approximately 90 seconds. With extraordinary cooperation from the schools, our Lions Club was able to test approximately 350 students. The results of these screenings are immediately reported to an appropriate school official.
It is on this basis that our Lions Club would like to thank the school administrators, nurses, secretaries, and classroom teachers who were so welcoming and accommodating when we made these very important visits.
