MISSOULA — The Ronan-St. Ignatius track team competed April 27 at Missoula Big Sky in a non-scoring meet and racked up a list of personal best performances.
Aspen Jore improved her Ronan High School javelin record with a throw of 107 feet and 10 inches to win the event.
Paden Alexander ran his best 3,200 meters setting a St. Ignatius record with a time of 10:09.00 to win.
Other placers included Ryce Hegwood taking fourth in the 200- meters with 24.83 and Riley Dennis placing first in the 400- meters in 54.40. Michael Knabe was third in the 400-meters with a time of 55.23.
Danny Romero ran to third place finish in the 1,600-meters with 5:02.39. Marcus Hungerford was second in the 800-meter with 2:11.13.
Dallas Jore jumped to a second place finish in both the long jump (19-07) and triple jump (39-05.5).
Dylan Evans was sixth in the long jump (17-04) and sixth in the triple jump (35-08).
Lucas Gerhardt won the javelin event with a throw of 149-07 and placed third in the shot put with a person best of 42-08.
Nikko Alexander also had is personal best showing in the shot put. His toss of 38-10 was good for fifth in the shot put and he also placed fifth in the javelin (128-05).
Teammate Brennan Andrews also competed in the javelin taking fourth with a throws of 129 feet and 11 inches.
The 400-meter relay of Carston Baertsch, Hungerford, Dennis and Jake Skelton finished third with a season best 45.66.
The 1600-meter relay of Michael Knabe, Brennan Andrews, Dennis and Hungerford was second with another season best of 3:38.40.
The girls also had a day of bests with Twyla Hogge taking first in the shot put with a throw of 32-10.
The 1600-meter relay team of Kiana Howell, Lindsay Barber, Stephanie Lewandowski and Jade Gray finished second with a season best of 3:34.40.
Howell was also fifth (14.30) in the 100-meter and fourth (29.29) in the 200-meter.
Victoria Crenshaw took fifth in the 400-meter with a time of 1:15.39 and third in the 800-meter in 3:16.33.
Gray finished second (13:16) in the 3,200-meter; Courtney Heath was fourth (14:13) and Nicki Jo Mays was fifth (14:15).
Stephanie Lewandowski ran the 100-meter hurdles in 17.53 for fourth place and leaped to a distance of 14-1 to earn fourth in the long jump. Teammate Jenny Larson was fourth (4-11) in the high jump 4’11 and Kaylie Durglo was sixth in the triple jump at 30-00.5.
The 400-meter relay team of Durglo, Lewandowski, Barber and Howell placed third in 55.64.
On Tuesday, the teams competed in the Lake County Invitational in Polson.Then they return to Big Sky in Missoula to finish out the week competing against Seeley Swan on Saturday.
