Vikings 62

Landers Smith scored six touchdowns — four passing, one rushing and a 74-yard kick off return — and the Charlo Vikings ran away with a 62-14 home win over Troy on Friday. Viking running back Isaiah Allik ran the ball four times for 45 yards and scored touchdowns on a 45-yard reception and a 15-yard interception.

Mission Bulldogs16

Mission suffered a 50-16 home loss to Arlee on Friday night. Troy Matt scored on a 39-yard touchdown run and Layne Spidel scored on a 70-yard kickoff return to lead the Bulldogs. Colt Crawford lead Arlee rushing for three touchdowns, and running back Darshan Bolen rushed for two.

Justin Mays scored the lone touchdown for the Chiefs during a 92-yard total offense game in the 64-7 home loss to Columbia Falls on Friday night. 

 

Soccer

The Lady Pirates finished the regular season with a 7-0 road win over Libby on Saturday. Sophia Moderie netted four goals to lead the Lady Pirates, and Autumn Burland, Kyla Heiser and Jazlyn Dalbey each added a goal apiece.

On the road Saturday, the Pirates wrapped up the regular season with another win, blanking Libby 4-0.

Bridger Wenzel led the Pirates with two goals, and Robin Erickson had two assists and a goal. Dave Smith added a goal and an assist.

 

Volleyball

Whitefish Lady Bulldogs 3

Visiting Whitefish swept the Lady Pirates with scores of 17-25, 22-25, 17-25 on Tuesday, Oct. 2.

Kaylanna DesJarlais paced the Lady Pirates with 26 kills. Mikaela DuCharme and Maggie Todd both floored six kills apiece.

On Thursday, the Maidens fell at home 25-10, 25-27, 24-26, 19-25 in a Northwest A Conference match up with Whitefish. Madeline McCrea led the Maidens with 14 kills and three blocks. Tiana Ulutoa dished out 18 assist and three aces.

Charlo Lady Vikings   3

Charlo Lady Vikings defeated visiting Plains in a Class 14C matchup on Saturday. Kaitlin Cox tallied 13 kills, 21 digs and three aces.

 

X-Country

The Polson and Two Eagle River cross country teams competed during the 13th annual Capital City 7 of 7 Cross Country Meet on Thursday at the Bill Roberts Golf Course in Helena. 

Lady Pirate Beatrix Frissell finished in fifth with a time of 19:12.18. Mason Sloan finished 21st in race one with a time of 17:22.62, and teammate Quin Stewart finished 16th in race two with a time of 17:20.9 for the Pirates.

Top finishers for Two Eagle River were TaRae Goodluck (31:15.9) and Mara Parizeau (31:57.74) for the girls’ team and Anthony Charlo (20:44.7) for the boys.
