Justice of the Peace Chuck Wall dealt with the following cases June 22-28:

Lavar Rashgke Gibson, 34, pleaded not guilty to the amended offense of disorderly conduct. He was found guilty, sentenced to 10 days in jail, four suspended, and fined $100 plus $85 in court costs. Gibson received credit for four days served.

Jaime Alvarado Ramos, 44, pleaded not guilty to the amended offense of reckless driving, first offense. He was found guilty, sentenced to 90 days in jail, 88 suspended, and fined $300 plus $35 in court costs.

Jennifer Michelle Hammond, 30, pleaded not guilty to the amended offense of obstructing a peace officer or other public servant. She was found guilty, sentenced to 180 days in jail, 175 suspended, and fined $150 plus $85 in court costs.

Miranda G. Birthmark, 23, pleaded guilty to operating without liability insurance in effect, second offense. She was found guilty, sentenced to 10 days in jail, eight suspended, and fined $350 plus $35 in court costs. If she provides proof of six months’ continuous insurance, jail time will be waived and the fine reduced by $100.

Dale Lee Crabtree, 38, pleaded guilty to displaying license plates assigned to another vehicle. He was found guilty and fined $50 plus $35 in court costs. Crabtree also pleaded guilty to failure to carry proof or exhibit insurance in vehicle, owner or operator, first offense. He was found guilty and fined $150 plus $35 in court costs.

Zachary Nicholas Tomlanovich, 21, pleaded guilty to failure to carry proof or exhibit insurance in vehicle, owner or operator, first offense. He was found guilty, sentenced to 10 days in jail, all suspended, and fined $150 plus $35 in court costs. Tomlanovich also pleaded guilty to operating with expired registration, failure to reregister. He was found guilty and fined $50 plus $35 in court costs. Tomlanovich also pleaded guilty to careless driving. He was found guilty and fined $50 plus $35 in court costs.

Derrick Cecil Pluff, 25, pleaded guilty to driving without a valid driver’s license. He was found guilty and fined $200 plus $35 in court costs. Pluff also pleaded guilty to failure to carry proof or exhibit insurance in vehicle, owner or operator, third or subsequent offense. He was found guilty, sentenced to 180 days in jail, 170 suspended, and fined $450 plus $35 in court costs. If he provides proof of six months’ continuous insurance, five days of jail will be waived. 

Brandon Lee Montgomery, 24, pleaded guilty to careless driving. He was found guilty and fined $50 plus $35 in court costs. Montgomery also pleaded guilty to failure to notify owner after accident resulting in damage to property/fixtures along highway. He was found guilty, sentenced to 20 days in jail, all suspended, and fined $100 plus $35 in court costs. Montgomery also pleaded guilty to failure to give notice of accident by quickest means/apparent damage over $500. He was found guilty, sentenced to 20 days in jail, all suspended, and fined $100 plus $35 in court costs. Montgomery also pleaded guilty to obstructing a peace officer or other public servant. He was found guilty, sentenced to 180 days in jail, all suspended, and fined $200 plus $85 in court costs.
