POLSON – The 2018 girls’ volleyball all-state and all-conference selections were recently released and nine Mission Valley area high school volleyball players were among those honored.

In Class C, four girls from Charlo and Arlee were named to either the first-team or second-team all-conference rosters.

Senior outside hitter Charlo Lady Viking Kaitlin Cox and junior Emily Fiddler of the Arlee Scarlets were rewarded with first-team all-conference honors.

Senior Scarlet Nellie Desjarlais and senior Lady Viking Teaira Truman were recognized for their efforts during 14C District action with a second-team placement.

Cox was also named to the Class C All-State team. Cox helped provide the spark for the Lady Vikings volleyball team during their 2018 campaign. They finished the regular season undefeated, placed second in the district tournament and secured a fourth-place finish in the Western C Divisional tournament.

Junior Karolyna Buck grabbed a first-team spot, while teammate senior Caitlyn Sorrel filled a second-team spot for the District 6B Mission Lady Dawgs.

In Class A, Lady Pirate Mikaela DuCharme earned a second-team all-conference selection, while Ronan Maidens Tiana Ulutoa and Madeline McCrea received honorable mentions.
